There are books about dancing, but have you ever come across books THAT dance?

A Toronto-based couple got a little out of hand when they organized their bookshelf in July 2011.

Now they have taken it to a whole new level: an entire bookstore!

crazedadman on YouTube wrote: “After organizing our bookshelf almost a year ago, my wife and I decided to take it to the next level. We spent many sleepless nights moving, stacking, and animating books at Type bookstore in Toronto. Everything you see here can be purchased at Type Books.”

Type allowed the pair, plus 25 volunteers, to take over the store after closing and spend the night playing with the books. The result is a stop-motion film of books dancing the night away. Bit whimsical, don’t you think?

Since it was uploaded on 9 January 2012, the video has garnered 608,496 views on YouTube and 16,527 likes.

In the spirit of sharing, here’s other news people are reading about on the web:

McDonald’s will put 9 million books in UK Happy Meals!

According to a study, children like ebooks better than print.

Maybe this is also why 63% of publishers in America plan ebook adoption this year.

But careful there. There’s growing support for indie bookstores lately.

Have a good Thursday everyone! 🙂
