When I chanced upon cookies made by this mommy, it transported me down memory lane.

You see, these cookies were inspired by the popular children’s book, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar”. This was the very first book I bought for my baby when she was 5 months old. It is a simple children’s book designed, illustrated and written by Eric Carle. The book is about a caterpillar, eating its way through a wide variety of foodstuffs before transforming into a beautiful butterfly. The clever usage of ‘holes’ on the pages and engaging illustrations makes this book my all-time favorite to read to my little one before bedtime.

Now you know why there are ‘holes’ in the cookies…

Here’s a lovely video on “The Hungry Caterpillar”. Have a good week everyone!
